Patricia Ann Woodley
Born August 5, 1943, passed away in her sleep, at age 79, on Saturday morning, September 3, 2022 from a form of leukemia called MDS. She was transferred from Shadyside Presbyterian Hospital two weeks prior to her son’s home where she was able to spend time with family, friends, and her cat Lincoln.
Patricia was a native of Pittsburgh and was born in Munhall. Since the mid 80’s, she worked as a bookkeeper for Shadyside Presbyterian Church, Trinity Cathedral, First Presbyterian, and finally, St. Susanna’s in Wilkinsburg. She loved to cook and garden. She enjoyed music from Conway Twitty to Elvis Presley and loved being with all of her many animals over the years. She had many friends and was always willing to help others in need.
Patricia is survived by her son, Myron Woodley, her daughter, Lisa Pristak, and her grandson, Joseph Gallagher. She is also survived by several great cousins, friends, and neighbors. Patricia lost her father Joseph in 1944 at the Battle of the Bulge and her mother Ann in 1974. She was a wonderful daughter, mother, friend, and person. She will be missed very much and will surely be looking down on us all with all her love.
Friends will be received at William F. Gross Funeral Home, LTD., 11735 Frankstown Rd. (at Rodi Rd.) Penn Hills, on Monday, September 12, 2022 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. There will be a graveside service held at Middle Presbyterian Cemetery, 3374 PA-981, Mt. Pleasant, PA 15666 at approximately 1:30 p.m.
