Bridgette Michelle Connor Zeibak

Age 42, of Penn Hills, PA, passed away peacefully at home, Friday, October 4, 2024, after a brave and unwavering battle with brain cancer. Her journey was one of immense strength, resilience, and love for her family. Born on February 20, 1982, in Erie, PA, Bridgette was the daughter of James E. Connor and Michelle R. Connor (nee Bocianowski.) She was the mother of three daughters, Rosslyn, Maggie, and Schuyler. Her deepest fear in leaving this world was not being able to watch them grow, and be there for them, but her love will forever live on in their hearts.

Bridgette’s life was marked by kindness, caring, and a fierce dedication to those she loved. A graduate of Strong Vincent High School in Erie and a former student of Edinboro University, she followed her beloved Lyon to California before they settled in Penn Hills, PA. For nearly a decade, she worked diligently in corporate banking at Dollar Bank.

Bridgette had a spirit that embraced life’s joys, no matter how big or small. She found thrills in horror movies and enjoyed the powerful pulse of heavy metal music. She cherished family gatherings, holidays, and celebrating her Irish heritage at the Pittsburgh Irish Festival. She enjoyed spending time with neighbors in Crescent Hills and she sought connection and creativity through her love of Dungeons and Dragons, where she regularly met with friends at the Penn Hills Library. Above all, Bridgette was an extraordinary mother, wife, and friend—selfless and generous to all who knew her. Her family misses her dearly. Her life, though cut far too short, left an imprint on everyone she touched—a testament to her unshakable love, loyalty, and charm.

She is preceded in death by her father, James Connor, and her sister Shannon Gajda, whose memories she held close. She leaves behind her beloved husband Lyon Zeibak, her daughters, her mother Michelle Connor, brother Ryan Connor, and many extended family members, including her uncle Mike Bocianowski, aunt Vikki Connor, aunt Bev Sutton (Ron), and cousin Dawn Johnson (Tim Sheehan.)

Bridgette will be laid to rest at Mt. Hope Cemetery in a private ceremony. Friends received at William F. Gross Funeral Home, Ltd. 11735 Frankstown Rd. (at Rodi Rd.), Penn Hills on Sunday, October 13, 2024 from 1 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 2:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, she requested donations be made to The Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund, 12400 Ventura Blvd, #837, Studio City, CA 91604 or to the family to help with funeral expenses.
