Richard L. Bigenho

Age 92, of Penn Hills, passed away Friday, February 17, 2023. Beloved husband of Betty “Liz”; father of Richard (Peggy) Bigenho, Jr., Debbie Pampena, and Tom (Jane) Bigenho; grandfather of six, great-grandfather of five; brother of Kenneth, Jerry, Ralph, Jr., and the late Gilbert. Richard was a proud Polio survivor that enjoyed a long life after his diagnosis. He retired from MSA after 43 years of service. James A. Castelli

Age 83, of Penn hills, formerly of East Liberty, passed away peacefully at home Wednesday, February 15, 2023. Beloved husband of Annette (Aiello) Carr-Castelli; father of Leslie (Peter) Jarzynka, James (Angie) Castelli, Blaise Castelli, David Carr, and Randy (Dina) Carr; grandfather of Gregory Carr, Samantha Carr, Ethan Carr, Olivia Jarzynka, Derek Carr, Luke Jarzynka, and Meredith Castelli; brother of Leo “Babe” (Patricia) and Don “Skeeter” Castelli; son of the late Leo and Rose Castelli. Also survived by numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. James was the proud owner of Castelli Landscaping and loved to golf. Dorothy Lee Vrooman (Harper)

Of Penn Hills, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family Sunday, January 29, 2023. Beloved wife of Leigh F. Vrooman; mother of Craig (Cathy) Vrooman and Lyn Vrooman; grandmother of Chris Vrooman and Lindsay (Logan) Schaefer; great-grandmother of Liam Schaefer; preceded in death by her siblings, Janelle Anderson, Robert Harper, and Andrew Harper. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Dorothy was a longtime member of the Oakmont Yacht Club and loved to be surrounded by her family.

Redmond Johnson, Jr.

Age 80, born in Smithfield, NC, from Pittsburgh, passed away peacefully Sunday, February 5, 2023. Beloved husband of Yvonne Page-Johnson; stepfather of four; brother of Alice, Emma, and three deceased siblings. Also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and in-laws. He was a US Army veteran and longtime US Postal worker.

Patricia Ann Liberto

A beloved sister, aunt, and friend, Patricia Ann Liberto passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 in Daytona Beach, Florida after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Born on June 8, 1956, A native of Plum Borough, Patty graduated from Seton Hill College in 1978, earning a degree in financial administration and accounting. Patty proudly worked as the treasurer in the family business, R.J. Liberto, Inc., before expanding her career at Giant Eagle Corporate and CVS Caremark in billing. Known for her sense of humor, infectious laugh, and larger-than-life personality, Patty loved spending time with loved ones – talking up a storm, laughing, playing cards, and doing scratch-off lottery tickets! She will be dearly missed by those closest to her. In joining her cherished mother, Carmella “Boots” Liberto, grandparents, and two brothers, Patty is survived by her sisters: Donna Wisnesck, Mary Lou Costello, Diana Koch, Vicki Fletcher, and Cathy Oliver, and brothers: Charlie and Mark, as well as many nieces and nephews. A woman of unrelenting faith, Patty will be remembered affectionately for her quick wit, bright light, compassion, kindness, strength, and resilience.

At Patty’s request, there will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial for family and friends will be held at Holy Family Parish St. Januarius Church, 1450 Renton Road, Plum, PA 15239 on Monday, January 23, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. Everyone please meet at church.
