Patricia “Trish” Sturniolo

Age 68, died peacefully in her sleep surrounded by loved ones Tuesday, December 10, 2024, after a brief, courageous bout with cancer. Born Ann Patricia Capozza in Parsippany, New Jersey, Trish was the loving mother of son Lucas Will, daughter Deanna Dunstane, and stepsons Zachary Sturniolo and Tyler Sturniolo. To know Trish was to be cherished by her, emphasized by the dozens of friends near and far that traversed the halls of her home as she made sure each and every soul was fed. The soundtrack of classic rock in the morning encapsulated Trish’s love of Bon Jovi, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, and others. The smell of tomato sauce and the sound of her characteristic laugh always danced through her home. Her community knew her as someone deeply involved, giving her time over the years to the Girl Scouts, 4H, band programs, and the Church. Anybody who spent just minutes with her could see the bursting care, love and regard she held for those around her, holding and expressing the sincere belief they could and would accomplish each and every goal set before them. Trish is preceded in death by father Patrick Capozza and mother Anne Jane Capozza (née Landi), her three siblings, and loving former partner William “Bill” Dunstane, with whom she spent 14 years. She is survived by husband David Sturniolo, the children she made and those she collected, and her many grandchildren.
