Stephen Anthony “Steve” Colligan
With sadness, we share that our dear Steve (Stevie) Colligan, age 62, of Penn Hills, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at home with a gentle smile on his face. He is at peace in the arms of our Lord and Savior.
Steve was a loving husband to Marcia (Januck) for 35 years, beloved brother to Bob (Patti), Paul (Joanne), Joe (Deeann), Mary (Bill), fond son in-law to Judith and the late Joseph Januck, caring uncle to 21 nieces and nephews, and proud godfather to Alex. He is preceded in death by his mother Dolly, who remains an everlasting beacon of unconditional love to us. We all joyfully know that Steve was mom’s favorite child, and he will be remembered by so many as their favorite.
Steve lived a life centered on family, friendship, and plenty of good times along the way. To know Steve was to love him. He is the strongest, most resilient person that we know. He took on serious challenges against overwhelming odds with amazing grace, dignity and courage. Through it all, never complaining, always positive even during the most difficult circumstances. Steve's legacy is one of kindness, zest for life, and inspiration.
Steve was a graduate of Penn Hills High School (1982) and a lifelong resident. He was a friend to all. Since childhood, he was fiercely independent running his own businesses (landscaping, snow removal, masonry) and enjoyed his leadership role at the Shop-‘n-Save Deli over many years.
He was simply a good man - honest, hardworking, fun, and loyal. He’ll now be cheering for the Steelers from the 50-yard line above.
Steve walked this earth as a Christian through his daily actions and love of others (John 13:34-35).
While we wish that he had more time, we are eternally grateful for the blessing of Steve's life.
