Theodore “Ted” A. Mastromonaco
Age 80, of Penn Hills, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, December 30, 2020. Beloved husband of Carole; father of Lisa (Bill) Cichinelli and Shelly Mastromonaco; pappy of Karley Cichinelli, Lorissa Cichinelli, and Julian Mastromonaco; great grandfather of Kynsley Solomon; brother of Judy (Al) Jackson, Jean (Paul) Mazzotta, Ann Mastromonaco, and the late Carole Mastromonaco; son of Margaret and the late Allen Mastromonaco; uncle to several nieces and nephews. He was a gentle and loving man who devoted his life to his family.

Gross Funeral Home at 11735 Frankstown Road (at Rodi Road) in Penn Hills on Sunday, January, 3 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral prayers will be held at the funeral home on Monday, January, 4 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Family Parish St. Joseph Church at 10:00 a.m. We will be following COVID-19 state guidelines.
Helen “Sis” B. Miller
Age 94, of Penn Hills, passed away Friday, December 25, 2020. Beloved wife of the late William G. Miller; mother of William (Zoi) Miller and Marty (Marcia) Miller; grandmother of Robert, Joseph, Mindy, Danielle, Will, Michelle, Marty (Jessica), Andy, and Eric Miller; step grandmother of Nicholas and Christopher Wright; great grandmother of London, Alexis, Kennedy, Oakley, and Kaison. Sis was an avid Bridge player and longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church. Age 86, passed away Friday, December 25, 2020. Beloved husband of the late Evelyn Young; father of Anthony (Kathy) Young, James (Jodi) Young, Dana (Brian) Giba, and Andrea Young; grandfather of 13; great grandfather of 12; brother of Mary Alice (Barry) Onufer. Ed is a retired 373 Laborer Union member and a proud Marine. Genevieve “Jenny” Baer
Genevieve “Jenny” (Makatura) Baer, age 83, of Penn Hills, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, December 24, 2020. Beloved wife of the late Charles Baer; eldest daughter of the late Clarence and Genevieve Makatura; loving mother of Michael (Sandy) Baer and Michelle (Robert) LaCivita; dedicated “Meem” of grandchildren Jennifer (Robert) Turner, Kristin (Josh) Mathew, and Bryan LaCivita, and great-grandchildren Jak Turner and Bret Turner; sister of Dorothy (the late Walt) Jaworski, Margaret (the late John) Cangelier, and Sandra (Louis) Faverio. She will also be greatly missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Jenny worked in the floral industry for many years, most recently retiring from Johnston the Florist. She enjoyed relaxing in the sun with a good book, baking her famous nut rolls, and singing, humming, or whistling a tune close to her heart. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family; her children and grandchildren were her whole world. Jenny lived her life with dignity and strength even after facing adversity, and she could always bring a smile to those around her.
