Robert D. Hensell
Age 90, of Penn Hills, On Wednesday, August 22, 2018. Beloved husband of the late Eleanore A. “Pinky” Hensell; son of the late Arthur and Eleanore Hensell; brother of Shirley K. (Jack) Smith, James L. (Eileen) Hensell, Margaret R. (James C.) Bonidie and the late ArthurM., Hensell Jr. and Donald G.  (surviving wife Patricia) Hensell; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Bob was a United States Marine during the Korean War. He will be loved and missed by all that knew him.
Friends will be received at the William F. Gross Funeral Home, 11735 Frankstown Road Pittsburgh, PA 15235 where a service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. Visitation Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.

 

 

Michele Y. Lang
Age 60, of Chicago and Pittsburgh passed away Monday, August 20, 2018. Beloved mother of Bethany Lang and Caitlyn (William) Jones; sister of Dave (Sue) Chobanian. Michele is predeceased by her late parents Charles and Norma Chobanian, and her late cat Jazz.
Friends received in the William F. Gross Funeral Home, Ltd. 11735 Frankstown Road (at Rodi Road) Penn Hills, Thursday, from 4 p.m. until the time of the service at 8 p.m. Interment private.

 

 

William R. “Bill” Rockar
Age 93, of Penn Hills, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2018. Beloved husband of the late Shirley (Brandenstein) Rockar; father of Kathleen Hennigan, Gary (Teri) Rockar and Beverly Gabrielli; grandfather of Sean (Kimberly) Hennigan, Stacey (Carl) Ward, Rebecca (Kevin) Pawlos and the late Joseph Gabrielli and Michael Hennigan; great grandfather of Sarah, Caitlin, Tyler, Alexa and Andrew; brother of Evelyn (the late Lotus) Ventura; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and his precious cat Pumpkin. Bill was a loving, honest, trustworthy and honorable man. He was a father figure to many. He served in WWII with dignity, pride and love of his country. Bill was a member of American Legion Post 980.  He also had a fun-loving, goofy side that attracted others near to him. The light of his soul was very bright and welcoming and he will be dearly missed.

Darleen L. (Lamanna) Graciano
Age 72, of Swissvale, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 20, 2018. Beloved mother of Richard A. Graciano, III and the late Tana Graciano; grandmother of four; great grandmother of one; sister of Virginia (Chuck) Miller, Frank (Donna) Lamanna and the late Nicholas and Richard Lamanna; girlfriend of Scott Ernst; step-daughter of Martin McDonough; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A blessing service will be held on Wednesday at Mt. Hope Cemetery 12707 Frankstown Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15235 at 11 a.m. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CEMETERY.

 

 

Michael A. DelleFemine

Age 61, of Penn Hills, peacefully passed away at home on Thursday, August 2, 2018. Beloved son of Connie and the late Mike DelleFemine; husband of Marietta DelleFemine; father of Marina (Liam) Holmes, Michael DelleFemine and Mario (Tosha) DelleFemine; grandfather of Elijah, Athena and Ezra Holmes and Mason Page-DelleFemine; brother of Joe (Kim and stepson Will) DelleFemine and Bernice Kula; nephew of Jerry (Lucille) DelleFemine and Dorothy (the late Joe) Pronio; son-in-law of Dave and Olean Kieffer; also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, brother and sister in-laws and friends. Mike was born in Pittsburgh and graduated from Penn Hills High School. He then graduated from Penn State with his degree in special education and later obtained his master’s degree from Duquesne. After teaching in Florida and Baltimore he returned to Pittsburgh to teach special education for St. Anthony’s School for Exceptional Children, for many years and later Penn Hills School District. He enjoyed working at Jane’s Nursery, Camp Lend A Hand and Shining Arrow where he touched many lives. A few of his favorite things were trips to the Casino, Steeler’s Football, The Three Stooges and Bruno Sammartino but above all he had a great love for his children and grandchildren.
