Robert D. Martini

Age 93, of Penn Hills, formerly of East Liberty, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2018. Beloved husband of the late Marie C.; father of Stephen (Michelle), Robert A. (Fiancé Susan Weil), and  Philip (Kimberly) Martini; grandfather of Robert, Michael, Philip, Maria; great-grandfather of Leah and Isabella; brother of Chickie.

Friends received in the William F. Gross Funeral Home, Ltd. 11735 Frankstown Road (at Rodi Road) Penn Hills, Monday, from 10 a.m. until the time of the Blessing Service at Noon.

 

 

Salvatore A. Molitierno

Of Penn Hills, formerly of Larimer Ave., passed away surrounded by his family on his 93rd birthday, Tuesday, September 18, 2018. Beloved husband of Frances, father of Tom (Lucy), Joe (Wanda), Steve (Karen) Molitierno and Annette “Toni” (Greg) Soxman and the late Bert (surviving spouse Cindy) Molitierno; grandfather of Hope, Tommy, Carmen, Joey, Alyssa, Michael, Louis, Gabrielle, and Andrew; great-grandfather of nine; brother of Kitty, Nancy and the late Marsh, Jimmy, Joe, Mimi, Maggie and Clara; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Sal was a proud WWII Navy Submarine Veteran and served as president of the Pittsburgh Chapter of WWII Submarine Veterans Organization. He was employed by Kroger for 26 years. He then formed S&W beer distributing which he owned and operated for almost 20 years. Also he worked for Penn Hills School District until his retirement. Over the years he was president of Local Teamsters Warehouse Union and formed three non-teacher unions with the Penn Hills School District and served as president for all three of those unions.

Sal was a member of Penn Hills Senior Center and served a term as president and many terms as a treasurer. He is a founding member of the nationally acknowledged Penn Hills Senior Softball League where he was a proud manager, player, coach, president and served as an officer until his death.

He was a hardworking man of faith. He was a devoted family man and loved dogs. His feistiness and dedication brought him much success in his life which led him to build such a wonderful and loving family. He was a firm believer in education and inspired all five of his children to get their college degrees. He will be deeply missed by his family and all that knew him.

Charles E. “Chuck” Warren, III

Age 62, of Ponte Vedre Beach, Florida, formerly of Penn Hills, on Sunday, September 9, 2018.  He is survived by his loving wife, Tammy, son, David and daughters, Lindsay and Tiffany, grandson Coby, loving pup, Spencer, and brothers William (Sindy), and Bryan (Donna).  There will be a memorial service at WILLIAM F. GROSS FUNERAL HOME, LTD., 11735 Frankstown Road (at Rodi Rd.), Penn Hills, on Friday, September 14, from 6 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 7. Age 82, of Penn Hills, passed away on Wednesday September 19, 2018. Age 99, formerly of Penn Hills passed away September 3, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Chauncey E. Lamborn; aunt of Barbara (Warren) Witte and the late Marilyn Lamborn. Dolly was active in the Western PA lady’s Golf Association and an Eastern Star member.
