Gary A. Cinefra

Age 61, of Plum Boro, after a courageous battle passed away peacefully in his home with his family by his side on Wednesday, August 9, 2017. He is survived by his beloved wife Cheryl (Forsythe); sister Sandra (the late Dr. Anthony) Nicassio and brother Frank (the late Deborah) Cinefra; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Jane Cinefra.

James Lee Kreitzburg
Age 55, of Murrysville, passed away with his family by his side on Tuesday, August 8, 2017. Beloved husband of Mary Anne (Waldo) Kreitzburg; father of Amber, James and Danny Kreitzburg; son of Peggy (Sprague) Kreitzburg of Beaver Falls; son in-law of Patricia Waldo of Penn Hills; brother of Debra (Mike) Kramer of Beaver Falls, Gerry (Shelly) Kreitzburg of Mars, Donna (Matt) Bizub of Ohio, and Diane (Jim) White of Kentucky; brother in-law of Joe (Jill) Waldo of Penn Hills, Lisa (John) Swab of Greensburg, Danny (Ellen) Waldo of Penn Hills, and Jason Waldo of Penn Hills; also survived by many nephews and nieces.
Early in his life Jim proudly served in the U.S. Army. Later in life Jim founded Animal, Inc. in 2001.  Although he referred to himself as a “flogger of pixels” in truth, Jim built a complex technical infrastructure and visual effects pipeline.  An award-winning visual effects artist, Jim’s creative and technical expertise can be seen on hundreds of commercials, as well as critically-acclaimed films and television shows.  To view his work go to https://www.animalstudio.com/
He loved racing his corvette and was a member of North Hills Sports Car Club, Pennsylvania Hill Climb Association, Steel Cities Regional SCCA. and the SVTOA.  He spent most of his summer with his racing friends. His racing number was 623 - for his faith in God which showed throughout his life.  He was a giving and caring man who always wanted to help others.  He worked with Boy Scout Troop 205 and attended many summer camps.  He will be greatly missed by his family, co-workers, racing friends and his many other friends. Jim is a graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and served on their advisory board for years.

Gross Funeral Home, Ltd. 11735 Frankstown Road (at Rodi Road) Penn Hills on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Rolling Hills Baptist Church 120 Gernert Drive, Verona, PA 15147. Barbara Louise (Schuck) Hupe

Our loving wife, mother and grandmother, age 85, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Carrick, died peacefully on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 in Arrowood at Southwestern, West Mifflin.  Barbara was born April 19, 1932, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of Norman and Ruth Schuck of Mt. Lebanon.  She was an employee in the credit department of Joseph Horne’s Department Store.  Barbara was a graduate of Carrick High School and lived her entire life in the Pittsburgh area.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Schuck. Always with a radiant smile and words of caring and concern for others, Barbara will be greatly missed by her loving family. She is survived by her husband (of 65 years), Arthur (Bill) Hupe; her children, David Hupe (Donna) of Holland, Michigan, Sandra Harmon (Kenneth) of Monroeville, Douglas Hupe (Linda) of Penn Hills, and Darrin Hupe (Monika) of Beaver; her nine loving grandchildren and six great-grandchildren as well as various nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation. A private memorial only will be held.  In lieu of flowers and contributions, the family requests prayers of love for Barbara.  Remembrances may be made in the form desired by family and friends.

 

Elizabeth Garrity Capps Hall
“Betty” of Brighton Heights, at the age of 89, passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2017. Born in North Braddock to the late Iva Belle (Ding Ding) Schultz and Edward Garrity. She was raised in Hazelwood with her late sister Mary Alice (Irish) Garrity. She was preceded in death by her husband Glenn W. Hall, Sr. and Earl Capps. Betty raised her children on Little Pine Creek rd. in Shaler. She worked for 30 years at G.C. Murphy Co. in Market Square. She loved beaches, an occasional tripto the casino and long drives to Erie in her car. She was an avid reader and after retirement took up woodworking. She is survived by her daughters Kathleen McKay Battista (Joseph) and Janet Melensky (Ronnie); grandchildren, Thomas McKay, Tracy Christner and Shawn Melensky; great-granddaughters, Jenna, Kayley and Megan. Mom, your 20 more years are unfortunately up. We Love You! Service and Interment Private.

Age 74, of Penn Hills, formerly of Homestead, peacefully passed away on Monday, July 31, 2017. Beloved wife of Ellis R.; mother of the late Shawn R. Collins; grandmother of Tyler O. (Significant Other Cassandra) and Caitlin Collins; excited great-grandmother to be of the unborn Elliana; sister of Carol (Bill) Angelelli; Daughter of the late Carl and Dolores Ferry; Judith worked for the Dollar General in Monroeville for 15 years.
