Dorina Girdano

Age 84, of Penn Hills, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2017. Beloved wife of Robert Girdano; mother of Vincent (Janet) Girdano, and the late Robert (surviving spouse Cynthia) Girdano, and Cara (surviving spouse Ronald) Marney; also survived by seven grandchildren and the late second lieutenant Michael Girdano; and three great-grandchildren. Dorina worked at Pennsylvania Municipal Services for many years. Nunnie will be remembered for her Sunday pasta, meatballs and sauce that no one can recreate.

William P. “Pat” Hogan

Age 78, of Penn Hills, Passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2017. Beloved husband for 51 years of Judith; father of Shawn (Jennifer), Grant (Jennifer), Christopher and Jonathan (Sarah) Hogan; grandfather of Devin (Samuel) Harencame, Leah Hogan and Finn Hogan; great-grandfather of Abigail Harencame; brother of Donald (Jean) Hogan.

Anthony J. “Tony” Massaro
Age 91, of Penn Hills, on Saturday November 11, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Mildred N.; loving father of Anthony (Lori), Vincent (Penny), Ralph (Sue) and Paul (friend, Phyllis Tedesco); grandfather of Nicholas (friend, Monica Poczynek), Anthony, II (Amelia), Frank (Monica), Stacey (Zach) Reid, Kristopher (Fiancé, Gail Mongero), Emily and the late Rachel Massaro; great-grandfather of Michael Anthony and Marco Peter Massaro; brother of the late Frank A. Massaro, Brigid M. Broskin, Ann M. Nelson, his twin, Josephine Massaro and Angeline M. Paul; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Anthony proudly served in the US Navy during World War II.

Charles E. Warren, Jr.

Age 84, of Conneaut Lake, formerly of Penn Hills, on Monday, November 13, 2017.  Long time proud Penn Hills resident, business owner and community supporter.  Preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, JoAnn; father of Charles E. III (Tammy), William (Sindy), and Bryan (Donna) Warren; grandfather of David, Lindsay, Corrie, Billy Warren and Tiffany Stepanik; brother of the late William Warren, Sally Waranius, and Ivy Klamput.  Friends received in WILLIAM F. Arthur W. (Bill) Hupe

Arthur Hupe, 84, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Carrick, died peacefully on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 in Jefferson Hospital, Jefferson Hills, PA.  Arthur was born December 17, 1932, in Pittsburgh, the son of Arthur Otto and Mildred Hupe (subsequently Mildred Davidson) of Carrick.  He was a police officer with Penn Hills Police Force for 28 years retiring in 1992 as a Sergeant.  Arthur attended Carrick High School and lived his entire life in the Pittsburgh area. He served in the Atlantic Fleet aboard the US Navy Aircraft Carrier Wasp during the Korean War Conflict.

In addition to his parents, Arthur was preceded in death by his wife Barbara, his brothers Robert and Howard Hupe, and sister Dorothy Marsh. Always with a warm smile and words of caring and concern for others, Arthur will be greatly missed by his loving family. He is survived by his children, David Hupe (Donna) of Holland, Michigan, Sandra Harmon (Kenneth) of Monroeville, Douglas Hupe (Linda) of Penn Hills, and Darrin Hupe (Monika) of Beaver; his nine loving grandchildren and six great-grandchildren as well as various nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation. A private memorial only will be held.  In lieu of flowers and contributions, the family requests prayers of love for Arthur.  Remembrances may be made in the form desired by family and friends.
