James M. Carter
Age 86, of Pittsburgh, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2026. Beloved husband of Mary “Betsy” E. Carter; father of Deborah Haynes, Jennifer (Matthew) Carter-Baker, and Jason (Melissa) Carter; grandfather of Monica Fenrenbach, Isla Baker, Lachlan Baker, and Arianna Carter. Also survived by cousins Joe Nellis and James Worthington and ex-wife Mary Jacobson. Jim was very passionate about building and flying RC Airplanes and was a member of the Murrysville RC club. He worked for American Standard and Safe Tran and was a mobile surgical laser technician. Jim was a longtime member of Crossroads Presbyterian Church.
A private celebration of life ceremony will be held in Jim’s honor.
