Our Dear Aunt Helen peacefully passed away on Monday October 5, 2015 in Ann Arbor, Michigan.  She lived a long, wonderful in the Pittsburgh area until August 2015. It was then she decided to move to Ann Arbor to be closer to the “Michigan Bunda”.  Helen was born on November 18, 1923 in Homestead PA to Anna (Risch) and Louis Paytok.  Helen was a graduate of Munhall High School, Class of 1942; St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1945; and Simmons College (Boston MA) School of Physical Therapy, Class of 1949.

Helen’s career as a Nurse and later a Physical Therapist took her many places and she had many wonderful experiences, including a stint as an Army nurse. The Children’s Institute in Pittsburgh was a very special place to her.  She always remembered with great fondness the patients that entered Institute’s doors and her wonderful colleagues. Many of which remained her cherished friends after her retirement. She retired as a Program Coordinator from the Institute 1988 after 29 years of dedicated service.

In addition to her parents, Helen was pre-deceased by her sisters, Mary Louise Ferencz and Frances Vogt.  Those left behind to honor her memory are her nieces and nephews; John (Patricia) Ferencz Jr., Brighton, MI, Robert Ferencz, Milan, MI, Anna Marie (Mike) Kerastas, Ann Arbor, MI., Francine (Terry Russell) Schroder, Pittsburgh, PA and Frederick (Cheryl) Vogt, McDonald, PA.   Helen was also blessed to have 8 great nieces and nephews, and 7 great great nieces and nephews.  Our very social Aunt was always on the go and never allowed her ailments slow her down.
