Richard K. Makin
Age 84, born, June 21, 1932 to Darragh and Sarah Makin of Swissvale, PA, passed away December 18, 2016. Mr. Makin graduated from Penn Hills, then served in the US Army. He raised his children in Saxonburg and later moved back to Penn Hills. Mr. Makin is preceded in death by his parents, brother Darragh, sister Sue and his son Richard of Saxonburg. Mr. Makin is survived by daughter Charlene and Curtis Eller of Amarillo, TX, daughter-in-law Sandy Makin of Saxonburg, son Bill Makin and wife Dana of East Bernard, TX, grandchildren, Nicole, Rick, Rob and Rachel and great-grandchildren Andy and Calvin.
Mr. Makin who was known by PAP to many was an outstanding father, a wonderful grandfather, a gardener, an amazing cookie maker and he loved animals. He was generous and kind hearted.
