Beloved husband of Jennie, father of Bridgette (Alejandra) Carrillo and Jessica Carrillo; son of Connie and the late Reynaldo; brother of Frankie Hernandez and Dolores Gonzalez, Eddie Pena, Kathy and Patrick Carrillo; son in-law of Luigi and Pauline Seamardi; brother in-law of Paul Scamardi (Lisa); uncle of Julia and Jensen Scamardi; also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Edward Merle Messenger, 87, of Churchill, died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth "Betty" and brother of William and the late John (surviving spouse, Lois) Messenger and Barbara Sherrill. He is also survived by nieces and nephews. Edward had a lifelong passion for learning, a very off-the-wall sense of humor and was very devoted to his wife of 53 years whom he loved and cared for very much. A service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Mt. Hope Cemetery, 12707 Frankstown Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15235. Everyone please meet at the cemetery. Arrangements were made by WILLIAM F.
