Nicholas W. “Nick” Bourekas

Age 91, of Penn Hills, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 10, 2016. He was born in Pittsburgh and served in WWII as a staff Sargent in the Army Air Corps, where he earned several medals for his service. Shortly after returning home from the war he married the love of his life, Rita, and remained married for 51 years until her passing. Nick and Rita enjoyed dancing and socializing with friends. Nick worked for Richardson Gordon Associates (HDR), as a draftsman. Rita preceded him in death and now they will remain together forever. Nick is the loving father to Jean (Robert) Heubert, Bill Bourekas and Nancy (Kevin) Wells; brother of Robert (Nanette) Plivoris, Joan Fay Patricca; grandfather of Brian Heubert and Karen (Brian) Heuchert; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Nick enjoyed golfing and was proud of his two hole in ones, bowling, and spending winters in Florida after retiring.

Mathilda M. “Tillie”  Morch (Cinefra)

Age 89, of Penn Hills, on Sunday, November 6, 2016. Beloved wife of the late William J. Morch; mother of Cheryl Jean Sanchez, William J. Morch and the late Marlene Alter; sister of Annabelle Adams and the late Frank Cinefra and Catherine Connors.

Edward Merle Messenger, 87, of Churchill, died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth "Betty" and brother of William and the late John (surviving spouse, Lois) Messenger and Barbara Sherrill. He is also survived by nieces and nephews. Edward had a lifelong passion for learning, a very off-the-wall sense of humor and was very devoted to his wife of 53 years whom he loved and cared for very much. A service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Mt. Hope Cemetery, 12707 Frankstown Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15235. Everyone please meet at the cemetery. Arrangements were made by WILLIAM F. GROSS FUNERAL HOME.

 

Rey "Tony" Carrillo

Age 59, of Penn Hills, on Saturday, November 5, 2016. Beloved husband of Jennie, father of Bridgette (Alejandra) Carrillo and Jessica Carrillo; son of Connie and the late Reynaldo; brother of Frankie Hernandez and Dolores Gonzalez, Eddie Pena, Kathy and Patrick Carrillo; son in-law of Luigi and Pauline Seamardi; brother in-law of Paul Scamardi (Lisa); uncle of Julia and Jensen Scamardi; also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Angelo J. "Joe" Liberto

Age 95, of Penn Hills on Thursday October 20, 2016. Beloved husband of the late Anna (Vitaro). Father of Elaine (Perry) Weyant, James (Debbie) and the late Mary Ann Liberto. Grandfather of Brad (Angela) Weyant, Ashley (Jimmy) Heisler, Chloe Weyant, Angelica and Brieanna Liberto. Brother of Catherine Dischara and the late Rose Stefanos.

Joe was an Army veteran of WWII and a man of great integrity and honesty who loved life.
