Age 94, of Monroeville, on Friday, August 8, 2014. Beloved wife of the late Leo; mother of James (Annette), Leo “Babe” (Patricia), and Don (Sue) Castelli; also survived by eight grandchildren and
eleven great-grandchildren.

Dennis G. Kociban

Dennis Kociban passed from this earth on 7/30/14 in Penn Hills. He was pre-deceased by his father John “Jerry” Kociban and mother Genevieve “Jean” Kociban. He is survived by his sons Christopher Kociban and Matthew D Hoffman; sisters Nancy, Donna, Andrea, and Carolyn; Desiree Kretzschmar mother of son Christopher; adopted daughter Zoila Eggers and her family; Niece Kelley (Daren)Franklin and family Daren Jr., Cameron, and Savanna; and cousins on both sides of the family in Ohio, Pittsburgh., and Philadelphia. Dennis graduated from Penn Hills High School in 1966, was an outstanding student, and excelled in wrestling and gymnastics. Dennis always enjoyed hanging with his buddies, chipping golf balls in the front yard, throwing football, and generally analyzing and critiquing all aspects of life. He was granted a wrestling scholarship at and graduated from Purdue Univ. He furthered his education at Carnegie Mellon Univ. and ultimately pursued a career in the investment industry. The family extends deep thanks and gratitude to all who shared their love and care with Dennis throughout the course of his illness. His doctors, nurses, and other health care providers travelled a journey with him that expanded their relationships with medicine and hope in directions they otherwise would not have known such measure of human tenacity. Age 96, of Penn Hills, on Friday, August 1, 2014. Wife of the late Wilson Smith; mother of Roy (late wife Mary Alice) Smith, Marsha Badali, and Richard Smith; grandmother of Jeffrey and Robert Smith; also survived by two great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Age 51, of Penn Hills, on Friday July 25, 2014. Son of James and Elizabeth Sanderson; brother of David (Erin), Stephen and Douglas Sanderson; also survived by nieces and nephews. Mr. Sanderson was a member of Penn Hills #6 Fire Department
