Harold L. “Harry” Dowling

Age 63, of Penn Hills, formerly of Mount Washington and Swissvale, died Nov. 15, 2021, after a prolonged illness. He was born in Sweet Home, Ore. on Feb. 15, 1958 and graduated from Northwest Christian College in 1983 with a bachelor’s in Christian education with a minor in journalism. Most recently, he worked at Citizens Bank as a telephone customer service agent. Harry attended North Way Christian Community, formerly Hillside Christian Fellowship, in Robinson and was particularly active in its Faith & Friends and music ministries, playing guitar and bass. He was known for his sensitivity, dark sense of humor and biblical integrity. He was a fan of the University of Oregon Ducks, later adopted Pittsburgh professional sports teams and, in 2009, had an op-ed, “There used to be a ballpark,” about his experience at Civic Stadium in Eugene, Ore. while watching the Eugene Emeralds minor-league baseball team in the 1980s, published in the Post-Gazette. Harry is survived by three sisters, Catherine Melton of Portland, Ore.; Virginia Dougherty of Penn Hills; and Patricia Dowling of San Francisco; and two brothers, William of Alexandria, Va. and Robert of Tomball, Texas. His parents, Dr. Harold Bader Dowling and Leota Virginia Dowling, preceded him in death.

A memorial service is taking place at 1 p.m. Dec. 12 at North Way Christian Community, 1050 Campbells Run Road, Carnegie, Pa. Donations or grocery gift cards can be given for comfort items to AGH West Penn Cancer Institute, 4815 Liberty Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15224.

 

Passed away Wednesday November 17, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Edward G. Jenkins; mother of Charlene (Joe) Liberto; grandmother of Jeanna (Carmen) D'Ambrosio, Jody, and Lidia Liberto, Nicole and Kevin McClain; great-grandmother of Nadia, Gabriella, Joseph, Christian, Carmen, Giada and Kevin, Jr.; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff of Seneca Manor and Suncrest Hospice for their compassionate care.

Roberta Jablonowski

Age 86, of Murrysville, passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2021. Beloved wife of the late James; mother of David (Donna) Jablonowski, Vicki (Joe) Ringer, and Mary (Donovan) Roche; grandmother of Diana, James, Steve, Jennifer, Mike, and Dana. Roberta was employed by the Plum Borough School District for many years. Virginia “Ginger” Rizzo

Of Penn Hills, passed away peacefully Thursday, November 11, 2021. Beloved wife of 64 years to Paul A. Rizzo, Jr.; mother of Patricia (Howard) Rosenthal and John (Laurie) Rizzo; grandmother of Kimberly (Chris), Daniel (Kate), Paul (Leanna), Patrick, Stephanie, and John; great-grandmother of Maura, Rex, and Camden; sister of the late Patricia Bursick and Robert McCabe. Ginger was a wonderful homemaker. After her children were raised, she entered the workforce as the office manager for Dr. George Paustenbach’s Dental Practice where she retired from after 20 years. Louise Clemente

Age 90, of Verona, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021. Born April 3, 1931 to the late James and Josephine Libertucci. Sister of the late Joseph Libertucci; beloved wife of the late Frederick; mother of Carol and Fred Clemente, Diane Natale, and Linda (Michael) Pucciarelli; grandmother of Christine and Ricky Natale, and Michael, and Michele Pucciarelli; great-grandmother of Giavonna and Elliana Pucciarelli. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Dear friend of Judy Mosco. She had a heartwarming soul that will be missed by many.

Service and interment private. Fred and Louise will be laid to rest together in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
