Ralph W. Dripps

Age 83, of Penn Hills, passed away Monday, November 8, 2021. Beloved husband of the late Geraldine L. Dripps; father of Debbie Thomas and Christopher (Julie) Dripps; grandfather of A.J. Thomas and Johnny Thomas.

Ralph will be laid to rest next to his wife at Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery. Service and interment private.

 

 

Paul “Pauly” H. Dammond

Age 80, of Pittsburgh, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 31, 2021. Beloved son of the late William H. and Sara (Harnett) Dammond; brother of Ronald (Rosemary) and William Dammond, and the late Charlotte (Larry) Miller; uncle of Matthew and Jeremy Dammond and Tyrone and Larry Miller, Jr. Paul was also survived by numerous friends including caregiver Lorraine Brown.

A memorial service will be held at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies 1158 Morgan Rd., Bridgeville, PA 15017 on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at 12:30 p.m. Everyone please meet at the cemetery.

 

 

Mary L (Rosol) Grzegorczyk

99 years old, passed away Monday, October 11, 2021.  Mary was preceded in death by her husband, William “Sarge” Grzegorczyk and her son, Dennis, and three brothers and five sisters.  She is survived by her daughter, Doris Mierwald (Raymond) and her daughter in law, Janet Brozell Grzegorczyk. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Teresa Cumpston (Keith), Raymond Mierwald (Melissa), Stephanie Curry (Pete), Eric Grzegorczyk (Jennifer), Adam Grzegorczyk (Debbie), and Amy Grzegorczyk.  She was blessed with nine great-grandchildren Emily Cumpston, Mary Cumpston, Jacob Curry, Evelyn Cumpston, August Mierwald, Tyler Grzegorczyk, Haley Grzegorczyk, Henry Mierwald, and Cayden Grzegorczyk.

Mary was born and raised on Polish Hill. She lost her parents at a very young age and was raised by her sister Anna. Mary married William in 1950, he was an enlisted serviceman. Over the next 15 years they lived in Hawaii, Alabama, Washington DC, Texas, and Illinois.  When William retired from the USAF they settled in Greenfield.  Mary worked at H.J. Heinz.  One of her greatest pleasures was the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  As an aunt she was blessed with nieces and nephews that loved her as much as she loved them.  She was also a gal that loved her Bingo, lottery, and slot machines.  Some say that her picture is still hanging in Atlantic City with the words “our favorite customer”.

Amadeo R, Stabile

Age 85, of Penn Hills, formerly of Larimer Ave., passed away Sunday, October 17, 2021. Beloved son of the late Antonio and Josephine (Grippo) Stabile; brother of the late Luciano, Louis, and Anthony Stabile.

James R. “Jim” “Jimmy” Nanci

Age 82, passed away on October 3, 2021 near his home in Palm Coast, FL. He was the widower of Marcia Nanci, whom he shared a life with for 52 years before her passing in January 2017.

Jim was born in Pittsburgh, PA. He was the first born son of James Nanci and Mary Nanci. He graduated from Central Catholic High School and attended Dayton University where he received a degree in mechanical engineering. He spent most of his career working for the Ralph A. Hiller Company (and later Rotork PLC) where he worked as both a design engineer and technical salesman.

Jim was a devoted member of the Catholic Church and was a member of various clubs and affiliations related to his Italian heritage. He enjoyed driving and talking about fast cars, smoking cigars, telling stories (both true (20%) and made-up (80%)), and spending time with his friends and two grandchildren bearing his name. He will be remembered by the ones that knew and loved him most for his eternally optimistic outlook and his loving and caring demeanor.

He is survived by his only son, Josh Nanci, his daughter-in-law Erin Nanci, and his two grandchildren James “Jay” Nanci and Eli Nanci (who were his world).
