Age 75, of Penn Hills, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer. Andrea J. Ventomiller

Age 76, of Penn Hills, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2020. Beloved wife of Vincent; cousin of Cathy (Bob) McGowan; sister in-law of Virginia (Leo) Nagorski; aunt of Tatyana Nagorski. Andrea was a much loved teacher for Pittsburgh Public Schools and an active member of Delta Kappa Gamma Service Sorority. She was also an active member of Penn Hebron Garden Club. Anthony “Babe” Santaguida

Babe passed away peacefully Friday, May 15, 2020 surrounded by his family at his son’s home in Florida. He grew up in the Larimer district of Pittsburgh but spent most of his life living in Highland Park and O’Hara Twp.

He was married to his beloved wife, Marianne (D’Onofrio) Santaguida for 52 years before her passing in 2014. He is survived by his sons; Anthony (Jean) and Thomas (Leslie) Santaguida; grandfather of Jessica (LaDon) Hall; great-grandfather of Maria and Lena Hall; brother of Joseph Santoquido and the late Sara Paravati and Nancy Downs.

Babe was a veteran of the US Army and discharged in 1958. He then went on to join the Cement Mason’s Local 526 where he worked as a cement finisher until retiring in 1996 and remained a member of the union group totaling 60 years.

Norman Andrew Garo

age 94, made a peaceful passage into Eternal Life on May 19, 2020.  Son of the late Nunzie Garofalo and Estelle Ruffing.  Brother to the late Virginia (Dominic) Russo.  Beloved husband for 34 years of the departed Beatrice (Bonosky).  Loving father of daughters Sandra (David) Haffner and Shirley (John) Funkhouser.  Cherished grandfather of Andrew (Siân), Michelle, and Alyson Haffner; Kristine (Scott) Nowak and Deanna (Christopher) Treter.  Survived by six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  He was born on August 9, 1925 in Pittsburgh.  He served in the Army Air Corps from 1943 to 1946.  After his service, he returned to Pittsburgh where he was a bus driver for the Port Authority.  With vast interests, he was a passionate dog lover participating in numerous dog shows; a history buff; a lover of the arts, both painting and music; and a gifted self-taught pianist.  Norm loved the Catholic church and always practiced his faith.  After retirement, he fulfilled a lifetime dream of living in Florida.  While residing in Sarasota, he maintained his healthy lifestyle with exercise and warm friendships.  He especially loved nature, bird watching, photographing sunsets, and volunteering at The Ringling Museum, where one of his favorite activities was driving the tram.  He was best known as a friend to all, helping anyone in need with a giving heart and a sweet smile.  Norm loved, and was loved-widely by friends, family, and anyone who met him.  He was kind hearted, loved to tell stories, and enjoyed the beauty of life.  A funeral mass will be held at St Raphael's Church on May 26, but due to the coronavirus outbreak, attendance is limited to family.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Animal Rescue, 6926 Hamilton Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15208.
