Age 96, of Penn Hills, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2015. Son of the late A. Clair and Ella G. (Bowers) Mitchell; beloved husband of the late Anna Marie (Bechtold) Mitchell; father of Christine (Charles) Banker; grandfather of Laura (Stephen) Bowen; great-grandfather of Darby, Charles, and James; brother of the late Gertrude Abel, Walter Mitchell, Robert Mitchell, and Isabell Vatter. Herbert was employed as a machinist for over 41 years by Edgewater Steel Company, once located in Oakmont, PA.
