Michael “Micky” Francis Troiano, Jr.

Age 71, of Penn Hills, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family and friends Sunday, July 28, 2019. Micky was born in Pittsburgh on October 9, 1947 to Michael Francis Troiano, Sr. and Yolanda Troiano. He graduated from Penn Hills High School in 1965 then went on to graduate from the University of Pittsburgh in 1970 with a degree in Physical Education. Micky worked in management and sales for the Pennysaver/Tribune Review for the last 40 years. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Gretchen Keller Troiano; his children Jamie T. (Scott J.) Kugler, Michael R. Troiano, Brian J. (Ashley P.) Troiano; and his first grandchild, Presley Elizabeth Troiano; he is also survived by his brothers Dennis (Chrissy) and James (Sandy) Troiano and their families.

Kraig E. Zitelli

Age 58, of Penn Hills, died suddenly on Saturday, July 27, 2019. Beloved son of Helen Rita Pomerantz; brother of Kurt (Kari) Zitelli; uncle of Kameron (Jen) Zitelli and Kollin (Phil) Trombetta. Kraig loved the Steelers and Golfing. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the family to assist with funeral costs. Interment private.

 

 

Carl A. Monaco

Unexpectedly passed peacefully in his sleep, Monday, July 15, 2019 He would have been 97 in October, quite an amazing life! Carl lost his loving wife, Virginia L. Monaco in 1987. Carl is survived by his daughters, Linda L. (Raymond) Mooney and Carla M. (Manny) DiNatale and the late Virginia L. Monaco (Heresco), his loving grandchildren, Robert A. Heresco, Lisa L. Heresco, Michael R. Mooney (Amy), Stephen A. Mooney (Pamela), Emanuel V. DiNatale, III, Laura DiNatale-Krueger (Jerod), and six great-grandchildren. Carl drove until he was 92 and lived on his own until just last week.

Friends received in the William F. Gross Funeral Home, Ltd. 11735 Frankstown Road (at Rodi Road) Penn Hills, where a Blessing Service will be held Friday, July 19, at 11 a.m. Visitation Thursday, July 18, from 2-9 p.m.

Sharon “Sherrie” Lynn Gross

Age 61, of Wexford, formerly of Penn Hills, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2019. Beloved mother of Laura Ann Gross; daughter of Ann and the late William F. Gross; sister of Linda (Frank) Massaro and Janet Gross; loving aunt of David (Hillary) and William (Amanda) Massaro; proud grand aunt of Jackson William Massaro. Sherrie fought a valiant battle against cancer for two and one half years. She will be dearly missed and never forgotten by all that loved her. Joseph W. Picard

Age 66, longtime resident of Penn Hills, formerly of O’Hara Twp. passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2019. Son of the late Dr. George A. and Jean B. Picard. Survived by Polly L. Picard; his dear friend of the Maher family and other distant relatives. Joseph was a 1970 Graduate of Fox Chapel High School and Earned his BA from the University of Miami, FL in 1974. He then went on to receive his masters in Journalism from Point Park College. He was retired at the time of his death. He was a talented writer and enjoyed fishing and tying his own flies.
