Cornelius “Cornie” Rifugiato
Age 88, of Murrysville, formerly of Wilkinsburg, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2017. Beloved husband of Kathleen Rifugiato; stepfather of Michael Faulkner, Susanne (Ryan) Osborne and Laura Barnes; grandfather of Austin Lee and Ella Grace Barns, and Reese Elisabeth and Sydney Marie Osborne; also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends of the heart. Preceded in death by his parents Pietro and Josephine Rifugiato. Cornie worked for some time for his family business in wholesale produce. He was a baritone singer for the Pittsburgh Opera for 45 years. Also he served on the board of the ISDA and was president of the Lamas lodge. Age 95, of Penn Hills, on Tuesday, December 5, 2017. Wife of the late Edward “Red” Lawley; mother of Patricia Craddock, Kathy Brasch, Ramona “Rae” Moses and Grace (Jim) Ruffing; also survived by 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, five sisters and three brothers.
