Anthony J. “Tony” Massaro
Age 91, of Penn Hills, on Saturday November 11, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Mildred N.; loving father of Anthony (Lori), Vincent (Penny), Ralph (Sue) and Paul (friend, Phyllis Tedesco); grandfather of Nicholas (friend, Monica Poczynek), Anthony, II (Amelia), Frank (Monica), Stacey (Zach) Reid, Kristopher (Fiancé, Gail Mongero), Emily and the late Rachel Massaro; great-grandfather of Michael Anthony and Marco Peter Massaro; brother of the late Frank A. Massaro, Brigid M. Broskin, Ann M. Nelson, his twin, Josephine Massaro and Angeline M. Paul; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Anthony proudly served in the US Navy during World War II.

Arthur W. (Bill) Hupe

Arthur Hupe, 84, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Carrick, died peacefully on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 in Jefferson Hospital, Jefferson Hills, PA.  Arthur was born December 17, 1932, in Pittsburgh, the son of Arthur Otto and Mildred Hupe (subsequently Mildred Davidson) of Carrick.  He was a police officer with Penn Hills Police Force for 28 years retiring in 1992 as a Sergeant.  Arthur attended Carrick High School and lived his entire life in the Pittsburgh area. He served in the Atlantic Fleet aboard the US Navy Aircraft Carrier Wasp during the Korean War Conflict.

In addition to his parents, Arthur was preceded in death by his wife Barbara, his brothers Robert and Howard Hupe, and sister Dorothy Marsh. Always with a warm smile and words of caring and concern for others, Arthur will be greatly missed by his loving family. He is survived by his children, David Hupe (Donna) of Holland, Michigan, Sandra Harmon (Kenneth) of Monroeville, Douglas Hupe (Linda) of Penn Hills, and Darrin Hupe (Monika) of Beaver; his nine loving grandchildren and six great-grandchildren as well as various nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation. A private memorial only will be held.  In lieu of flowers and contributions, the family requests prayers of love for Arthur.  Remembrances may be made in the form desired by family and friends.

 

Arlene Hughes Davis
83, of Clovis, NM, formerly of Penn Hills, died Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Clovis Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. Friends will be received at the William F. Gross Funeral Home, 11735 Frankstown Road Pittsburgh, PA 15235 Sunday, November 5, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.  Services will be held 10:00 AM Monday, November 6, 2017 at the Mount Hope Community Presbyterian Church in Penn Hills, PA. Arlene was born January 10, 1934 in Pittsburgh, PA to Clinton and Roberta McCreary Hughes. She Married Clyde "Bus" Davis, September 4, 1954 in Carnegie, PA. Arlene was a Dictaphone operator for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company.
Arlene is survived by her husband, Clyde "Bus" Davis of Clovis, NM, two Sons: Clyde (Janice) Davis of Clovis, NM and Thomas (Charlene) Davis of Richmond, VA. She was preceded by her parents, Clinton and Roberta Hughes.

Christopher J. Fedele

Age 52, of Murrysville, suddenly passed away on Friday, October 27, 2017. Beloved husband of Jennifer (Jendrasik); loving father of Stephen and Faith Fedele; son of Lois and the late James Fedele; brother of Jeff (Elizabeth) Fedele; Uncle of Giovanni and Francesca Fedele, and Alee and Tyler Petrucelli; son in-law of Roman and the late Dolores Jendrasik; brother in-law of Karen (James) Petrucelli and Linda (David) Rodgers-Schribner; dear friends of the DiDomenico family, the Hill family, the Hoolahan family, the Nania-Nowicki family and several other close friends; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Chris ran the family business, Fedele Insurance, with his brother Jeff.
