Ronald S. "Pete" Puskar

Age 62, of Penn Hills, on Sunday August 2, 2015. Father of Peter (Kate), Natalie, and Paige Puskar; Brother of Janet Carmody. Ronald was past president of Insulators Local Union #2, a graduate of the University of Dayton '74 and member of the Rho Rho Rho Fraternity

Elizabeth M. Kearns

Age 89, of Churchill, on Saturday, July 25, 2015. She was born May 25, 1926 in Zanesville, Ohio to John and Josephine Deasy Eddy but was raised in Pittsburgh by her Aunt Martha Deasy and George C. Lee. She was Preceded in death by her beloved husband Richard M. Kearns, her brother Edward Eddy, and three of her children Elizabeth, Thomas and Kathryn. She is survived by her loving children Maureen Smallwood, Timothy and Edward Kearns; her sister Nancy Lee Lescisin; four grandchildren; and multiple nieces and nephews. Betty lived in many areas including Zelienople, PA, Norman, OK and St. Petersburg, FL in addition to Pittsburgh. Betty loved anything Irish and she enjoyed skillfully crafting wreaths and flower arrangements. When she was younger she worked at Koppers in Pittsburgh then as a nanny much later in life. She was of the Roman Catholic faith.

Mary E. Thompson

 

Age 68, of Coraoplis, on Saturday, July 25, 2015. Beloved daughter of Eleanore Thompson; sister of Suzanne (Walter) Werner, and Peter (Liz) Thompson of San Rafael, CA; aunt of Brian (Jacqulyn) and David (Lynn) Golightly; also survived by numerous caregivers with Passavant Memorial Homes. Mary loved butterflies, flowers, rings and especially her family and caregivers.

Stella Bianculli

Passed away peacefully at her home in Penn Hills at the age of 98, on Saturday, July 25, 2015. Born in Pulsano, Taranto (Italy), she was the youngest of nine children. She came to the USA in 1953 to stay with her oldest sister Maria Cervellera. In 1954 she met and married Thomas Bianculli the owner of Sycamore Pharmacy in Penn Hills. She was a superb cook and everyone enjoyed her dinners, especially her delicious pizza. She was known to everyone as “Aunt Stella”. She is predeceased by her parents, her husband of 49 years, her infant son, Michael, four brothers and three sisters all from Italy and one from Florida. She is survived by her nieces and nephews Rosetta (John) Colaizzi and David Bianculli of New Jersey, Mina (Aldo) Gargano and Bruna (Martino) Giacovelli of Italy, Dr. Paul (Nancy) and Thomas J. (Betty), Arthur (Phyllis), Michael Bianculli, Jane (Paul) Kerr, Josephine (John) Folino of Pittsburgh, Midge (Allan) Bachewicz and Theresa Cervellera of Florida, Marty (Jennifer) of Ohio and Kathy Bianculli of Texas; also survived by many other relatives, friends, Meghan Blair and her staff, and other caregivers.

James M. “Jim” McNeilly

Age 62 of Level Green on Thursday July 23, 2015. Beloved Husband of Rose (Destro) McNeilly; father of Jamie (John), Jenna, Jillian, McNeilly; Pap Pap of  Raylee McNeilly and Rhiannon Ferguson; brother of Marilyn (Patrick)  Metheny, Samuel McNeilly, Patrick (Maggie) McNeilly, Carol (Jim) Braithwaite, Michael and the late Sarah McNeilly, Also Annette (Doug) Fryman, Joe (Sherry) Destro, Kathleen (Joe) Scanlon; also loved by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends; especially including Edward and Marianne Leghart. Jim was a coach bus driver, and longtime VA employee.
