Donald Eugene Perry Sr.

Age 86, of Beaver, formerly of Penn Hills, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2015. He is preceded in death by his parents Herbert O. Perry and Mildred Freer; wife of 48 years Teresa Rose (Bagnato); and sister Phyllis Serafini. He is survived by his children Marylynn (David) Sample of Beaver, PA, Donald E. (Teri) Perry, Jr. of Austin, TX; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Don served in the United States Army as a Medical Corpsman and worked for 44 years as a metal spinner for E.H. Schwab in Wilkins Twp. Some of his most notable work includes a Brass finial which sits atop the dome of the Danny Thomas ALSAC Pavilion at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN; finals for Clayton House; Henry Clay Frick’s former mansion in Point Breeze, PA; and decorative parts for the signage at Walt Disney World in Florida. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

 

Steven P. Ruffner

Age 51, formerly of Wilkinsburg, on Saturday, May 30, 2015. Husband of Karen; father of Kayla Ruffner; son of Phyllis (Galutzi) and Charles W. Ruffner; brother of Dwayne, Jeffrey, David, Eric Ruffner, Grace Whipkey, Theresa Innes, Genevieve Pugh, and the late Charles Joseph Ruffner; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Mary (Mainiero) Amato

Age 90, of Penn Hills, on Friday, May 15, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Domenic; loving father of Daniel (Janet) Amato and Mary Ann (Matthew) Cohn; cherished grandmother of Allison, Daniel, Andrew, Angela, Natalie and Ryan; adored great-grandmother of Tammie, Sophia and Claire; sister of Anthony (Edi) Mainiero and the late Rosemary and Joseph (surviving spouse Victoria) Mainiero. Age 66, of Gibsonia, formerly of Morningside, on Monday, May 25, 2015. Beloved wife of James; sister of Carol (Vince) DeMasi, Kathie Predmore and the late Sandie Perallo; also survived by nieces, nephews and good friends. Thomas P. Foley

Age 65, of Penn Hills, on May 6, 2015. Beloved husband for 41 years to Lynn (Catz) Foley; devoted father of Megan and Micah; special uncle to Matrika Perini; doting grandfather to AJ Foley. Preceded in death by his parents Michael and Agnes (Ross) Foley; sister Noreen (Gerry) Beggy; father in-law Jack Catz; sister in-law Adrianne Catz. Survived by his brothers John (Mary Lou) and Michael (Joan), sister Patricia Ann Foley, CSJ, Kathleen (Ray) Leone and Patty (Tom) McMillin; mother in-law Esther Catz; also by numerous nieces and nephews. Tom was honorably discharged from the army after having served in the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1971. Tom retired from the United States Postal System in 2004 where he worked for 35 years as a Labor Relations Specialist. The family wishes to thank all the dedicated staff at Vitas Health Care for their comforting and compassionate care.
